Technologies of the future – Four projects from Google’s research lab

Shortly after Google acquired Motorola was founded in Motorola Atap or Advanced Technologies and Projects, a special research department. Motorola has now been sold to Lenovo, but Google chose to keep Atap. And that’s understandable, because in Atap working people who push the limits of technology and constantly working on new projects to push those boundaries. The most famous project is probably Atap Macaw Project, the effort to build a smartphone which is built completely modular and can be adjusted on the fly.

This Atap has some way of Google X, the research division of Google which is working on so-called “moonshot’ projects, such as the Wage balloons that wireless can bring to places where it still is not, or course Googles self-propelled vehicle. The difference is that Atap projects Google X are grandiose and may be quite long. The projects Atap are smaller, faster, and if they take too long they will be pushed aside for something new.

In addition to ARA, they are still within Atap with many other projects, and engaged, a number of them during Google I / O is shown. The manner in which these were revealed contrasts sharply with the way Google on the first day of the conference are made announcements. In Atap allowed it a little looser, less seriously. That meant pounding music and a clear opening statement: at Atap revolves around one thing: ‘epic shit devise and subsequently build it.
