Tele2 brings live TV app for tablets and smartphones
Tele2 Monday introduced a service that can be watched on a smartphone or tablet to live television. For now, the service only works with iOS devices, but an Android version will appear soon.
The so-called online TV app does support a limited number of channels. These are fourteen channels including the Dutch public broadcasters and commercial broadcasters. The Online TV app can also be scrolled through the TV guide. The program is available in the App Store for iPhones and iPads. Later the Android version, says Tele2.
On-line TV provider has worked several months. In August last year, started the company a trial with two hundred subscribers to test the app. They helped include the composition of the transmitter range. “The test revealed that the app was mainly used to watch popular Dutch channels,” says Tele2. In addition gave the testers for other services as Uitzendinggemist look directly through another app.
By offering a tablet and smartphone app for live streaming tv Tele2 relatively late. Competitors such as KPN, UPC and Ziggo offer some time this possibility. Thus they play in the growing need among customers to view television programs not only on television but also on smartphones and tablets.Viewing:-139
