Telecom CEO gets prison for leaking sales Blackberry Z10

A US judge has the Director of retailer Wireless Zone sentenced to jail, house arrest and pay a fine for leaking figures on how many copies had sold the 400 stores of the retailer and how many customers brought back.

The CEO received $ 2,000 per month to analyst firm Detwiler Fenton in real time to provide insight into sales of smartphones. Therefore, the chief executive has been convicted of fraud, reports Reuters. The case came rolling by an indictment of BlackBerry manufacturer after publication of the analyst firm in April 2013.

Detwiler Fenton claimed based on figures from Wireless Zone that more people Blackberry Z10 brought back to the store than people bought the device with which the smartphone during that period would have a negative sales. The analyst firm mentioned that in business newspaper The Wall Street Journal a unique situation. Customers should return the unit because they are “not intuitive ‘thought control of BlackBerry 10 through gestures. BlackBerry denied the figures from the report almost instantly.

The information patted on the basis of the figures of some of the 400 shops of Wireless Zone, but those numbers were probably not applicable to the worldwide situation of the BlackBerry Z10. The conviction seems end to the matter, which has played 2.5 years.
