Find a Question:
Telecom Industry wants to roll 5g networks with 20Gbit / s speed 2020
The international telecommunications industry, united in the ITU, the roadmap 5g ready. In 2020, the specification for 5g, where under the name IMT-2020 work, be ready. In that year, the systems are ready and networks can be rolled out.
The International Telecommunication Union has decided to work under the name IMT-2020 to the 5g specification. The ITU has worked on 3G under the name IMT-2000 and IMT Advanced 4G with the denominator. The organization is going in the coming years put the technical demands in a row, taking into account the desired applications such as mobile video streaming at extremely high resolution, real-time use applications on low latency and internet-of-things.
By 2020, the specification must be ready and therefore have the first systems ready for 5g. “The attention is focused on the period 2020 and beyond to make society possible, which is seamlessly connected and brings people together with things, data, applications, transportation systems and cities in an intelligent network communications environment,” called in the words of the ITU.
Korean ETNews puts the differences between 4g and 5g in a row, according to the plans now are. The standard must 5g systems allow deliver a speed of 20Gbit / s, but users could enjoy the practice of speeds of up to 1Gbit / s. Irrespective of the distance to a mast, the user of that base station should be at least a speed of 100Mbit / s can get. 4g at the maximum system speed 1Gbit / s. In addition, the latency to 5g should be significantly better, should decrease energy consumption and should be able to make systems more per square kilometer connection with masts.Viewing:-185
