Telenet expands download limit ‘free download’ from 300GB to 500GB – update
From March 29 Telenet extends the download limit ‘free download’ from 300GB to 500GB per month. In addition, the download limit during off-peak abolished and the download speed when exceeding the download limit 10Mbit / s.
Belgian provider’s customer service makes mention of the extended download limit. The current policy to allow up to 300GB in the subscriptions ‘free download’ offer is extended from 29 March: 500GB can then be burned before the internet speed is reduced. Moreover, the download limit only applies during peak hours. During peak hours, the limit is completely abolished. Telenet previously calculated consumption during off-peak for a fifth, which causes the effective download limit so could be five times higher.
That peak and non incidentally also be adjusted from 29 March. During weekdays starting peak hours instead of 16:00 starting at 12:00 and last until midnight. For the weekend, this was already the case. Finally Telenet increases internet speed that users get when they exceed their download limit: going from 5Mbit / s to 10Mbit / s. During off-peak hours that speed limit does not apply.
Telenet was the last time a lot of criticism because its rates ophoogde. That was according to the provider because of increased costs. There were protests from dissatisfied customers, but Telenet keeps the new prices intact.
Update 11:01 pm: Telenet allows the User Base forum know that the download limit is abolished during the peak hours. The article is adapted.Viewing:-507
