Telenet publishes an internet bundle with TV next week that does not require a digicoder. Subscribers then watch television via the Yugo app. With the bundle, customers also receive a fixed internet connection and a mobile subscription with one or two SIM cards.

With the offer , the Belgian provider aims at ‘millennials and digital savvies ‘, which continuously switch between screens and platforms for their entertainment. Twenty channels can be viewed through the app, including the Belgian channels Een, Canvas and VTM, and the international channels Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., Viceland, Fox and National Geographic. The Play package is also included in the app, with which HBO series can be watched. Programs can be watched live, but looking back up to seven days is also possible.

Users can record series, but they will remain on Telenet’s servers and will then be available for 60 days. It is currently not possible to download programs in advance and view them on the road. Telenet promises that its offer will continue to evolve, so that new functions are likely to be added. There is no tablet or smart TV app yet, but users can cast to Chromecast or Apple TV via the app.

Part of the subscription is a fixed internet connection of 200Mbit / s without data limit; on mobile there is a maximum of 20GB and 150 call minutes. The data can be divided over one or two SIM cards, the call minutes are per card. Data via the Yugo app does not count towards the mobile data usage. The provider already used this working method with a different subscription and received permission from the telecom regulator. WhatsApp and Messenger do not count according to Telenet for the data usage. Users can get one or two SIM cards. The app can not be used on devices with root access due to safety measures. Yugo is available from Tuesday, February 19th for a hundred euros per month.
