Telenet talks with Netflix on integration in decoder

Telenet is in talks with Netflix to provide access to the platform through video decoders. This Telenet would follow its competitor Proximus, which has been doing since 2014. Telenet also negotiates with Netflix about peering.

The CEO of Telenet, John Porter, announced to consider the inclusion in the decoder during the discussion of the quarterly figures . This integration will not happen immediately, according to him, but there are talks and emphasized according to De Morgen that Telenet ‘is not a closed platform.
