Tesla Model S allows owners ‘calls’ their cars with AutoPilot
Tesla has the self-propelled features of its Model S expanded and it is now possible to leave the car for self-drive. This’ summon’ feature is in a new version of the software that has been sent to owners of the Model S.
The feature that makes it possible to access the car is in software version 7.1 made was recently released. Tesla has released himself little about the new software, but from user experiences show that it is possible with the press of a button the car independently to let it ride. There are some videos appeared on Model S owners that show for example how the car is running independently from the garage. Conversely, it is also possible to let the Model S again parallel parking.
Who needs a garage door that let compatible with HomeLink can automatically open and close in collaboration with the summon function. However, the driver must be within a distance of 12 meters from the Model S to be able to call the car. Summon can be turned on in the settings, and according to Tesla still in beta. It is unclear whether software version 1.7 immediately to all Model S users is rolled out worldwide.
The new summon functionality is part of AutoPilot, the software for independent driving that Tesla already been released. This makes it possible to drive on certain roads to make driving completely independently. Because the company was criticized on the safety of AutoPilot there with software version 7.1 is a restriction in installed. There is a speed limit set to eight kilometers per hour above the legal limit. That should prevent drivers going dangerously speeding while they have their hands on the wheel.Viewing:-187
