The Chinese threaten smartphones Samsung and Apple market share
Lenovo sales of smartphones have increased in the three months from April to June by 131%
A study of the smart phone market in the second quarter of 2013 on growth of global demand for smart phones produced by Chinese companies.
The study indicated that some of the smart phone manufacturers have Chinese during the second quarter of this year, the growth rate in sales exceeded the barrier of cent percent on an annual basis.
The study carried out by market research firm Canalys, the Lenovo company, sales of smartphones grew in the three months from April to June by 131% compared to the same three months last year, with increased sales of “Yulong” Chinese by 216% compared to the same period.
The Lenovo company sold approximately 11.3 million smartphones in the second quarter of 2013 compared to phone their sellers 4.9 million in the same period last year, the company sold the “Yulong” approximately 10.8 million smartphones during the same period this year is superior to the leading brand is LG of South Korea which has sold 10.7 million smartphones.
And a “Samsung” on the top most selling smartphones, where the company sold approximately 47.0 million during the second quarter of 2013 with an annual increase of 55% compared to the same period last year.
The company said the study, Chinese smartphones threatened quotas “Samsung” and “Apple” market, especially after the high demand for low-cost smartphones offered by Chinese manufacturers, and phones that have good technical advantages offered by other companies at the more expensive devices.
She added that sales of all smart phone manufacturers increased Chinese banner “Lenovo” or “Yulong” or “Huawei” or “ATI” or uniform Xiaomi, becoming their sales controlling share of 20% of the Smartphone market.
And Apple has sold approximately 31.2 phone “iPhone” in the second quarter of 2013 with a year-on-year increase of about 20% and the lowest increase among the top five in the list prepared by the firm Canalys.
To this, market studies has unveiled five major consumer markets for smartphones, where China topped the list after buying its citizens about 88.1 million smartphones in the second quarter of this year, followed by American (20.4 million) and India (9 million), and Japan (8.6 million), United Kingdom (7.4 million).
Canalys estimated the company, in its study of the market, the number of smartphones sold in the second quarter of 2013 about 238.1 million smart phone.
