The death of workers in a LG factories in South Korea due to nitrogen leak




Killing two workers were killed, while four others were injured on Monday after nitrogen leak in a company, “LG DisplaySearch” LG Display factories north of the South Korean capital, Seoul.

According to police and firefighters that the leakage occurred at about 12:50 pm local time (3:50 am GMT) in the factory, “My 8” P8 in Paju, about 40 kilometers north of Seoul.

Firefighters said that “LG DisplaySearch” workers – specializing in the arm makers screens with LG – were carrying out routine maintenance work on the ninth floor when he opened the nitrogen gas cylinder valve by mistake.

Authorities said one of the workers died at the scene, but the other was pronounced dead on his way to the hospital.

Shortly after the accident, the company “LG DisplaySearch” offered an apology to the victims, said in a statement, “We send our heartfelt condolences and apologies to the victims, and we will do everything in our power to help the wounded recover as soon as possible.”

It is believed that the plant who witnessed the incident may be the largest production line in the world, is working on the manufacture of display screens TVs Ptguenita liquid crystal diode LCD and organic light emitting OLED, this, and nitrogen is used to wash the screens during manufacturing.
