The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus uses two accelerometers to save battery




An excellent example of the elegance with which Apple is coming to the creation of iPhone, is a new discovery Chipworks. Such a solution would allow Apple to not only reduce energy consumption, but also to expand the options of user interaction with the mobile device. Accelerometer Bosch is a standard component of the smartphone with a fairly low sensitivity and weak energy consumption. Module InvenSense, in turn, is able to accurately measure the position of the iPhone, but in this case it is more energy-intensive.


Thus, in standard applications iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus uses standard sensor Bosch, whereas in complex games and applications enabled six-axle accelerometer InvenSense.
