Cooler Master has in June this year, during the Computex in Taipei, all show which way it wants with its products. Everything should be more focused on the do-it-yourselfer, with the slogan “Make it Yours’ clear message. This applies not only for housing but also for other product groups, such as water coolers, mice and even headphones. The ‘creator’ is central and everything should be adjustable, modifiable and modular. The first product was made according to that philosophy and we see, is a housing: Master Case 5.

Thus, for the development of the Master Case first made a prototype with the name Master Concept. Cooler Master did with community members, including Peter Brands, known as L3p. Master Concept which would form the basis of the Master Case-series enclosures. The Master Case namely comes in different sizes, with the Master Case 5 is the midtowervariant. However, the Master Case 5 can be extended to Master Case Pro 5 or Master Case Maker 5.

We focus here on the Master Case 5 and Pro 5; Maker 5 has not yet been released. We’ll see if the long radio silence from Cooler Master, the cooperation with various users ‘makers’, and devising a new philosophy have resulted in a beautiful housing. In addition, we discuss actually two housings in one, which entails a change in the other and adaptability is the key word.
