The Dutchman Dirk Stoop began his career as a software engineer when he worked in a shop and frustrated by the poor point-of-sale system. He decided to make a better software package together with some colleagues and formed as a private company it: Sofa. The Amsterdam-based company has grown considerably over the years and have developed the popular Mac apps Kaleidoscope and Versions. In 2011, Sofa acquired by Facebook, and Stoop left with seven other colleagues toward Silicon Valley to work. For the popular social network

For the first episode of the new video series from the Polder to the Valley we traveled to the campus of Facebook and we were looking Stoop on, to talk about his current work at Facebook and how he ended up. Silicon Valley
