The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) is participating in the celebration of World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (WTISD-17), which falls on 17 May each year under the slogan “Massive data for a huge impact” because of its ability to transform data into information A process to be used in various fields.

On this occasion, the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) stressed that the Kingdom has made great efforts in the field of the deployment of telecommunications and information technology services in all regions of the Kingdom.

The Kingdom has achieved advanced positions among 139 countries, where it achieved the third position in the penetration rate for mobile services, the seventh position in the importance of communications and information technology to the vision of the future government, and the seventh position in the success of the government In the promotion of the use of information and communication technology, and the 15th position in the spread of broadband services over mobile networks, according to reports issued by the International Telecommunication Union. The Kingdom also won seven United Nations awards for the World Summit on the Information Society Last t respectively.
