The Ubuntu project is closed for Android





The company Canonical announced this week through a bug-report’s Launchpad that stopped drafting Ubuntu for Android. The main idea of ​​this project was the use of the owners of Android-smartphone operating system Ubuntu when connected to an external monitor, keyboard and mouse.

Given all the innovation and uniqueness of this project, it is sad to know that the developer ultimately decided to close it. In a statement on the website Launchpad says:

“The website describes Ubuntu for Android as one of the« must have chips “for smartphones Android, issued by the end of 2012. Ubuntu for Android is no longer in development, so a page with a description of the project and all related data will be removed soon. ”

Canonical also decided to confirm information about the closure of Ubuntu Andoird, specifying:

“We were quite pleased with the reaction to the new version of Ubuntu 14.04 LTS for desktop solutions and earliest images of the Ubuntu operating system for phones.
