Thermaltake comes with stackable Core X5 enclosures
Thermaltake introduces two new cases in the Core X-series: the Core and Core X5 X5 Riing Edition Cube Chassis. The enclosures support itx-, m-ATX, ATX and E-ATX motherboards. The cabinets can be stacked on top of each other.
By stacking the cabinets, for example, creates more space for storage. A water cooling system can be extended by several stacked cabinets. Thermaltake offers several interchangeable panels with, such as side panels with window. The difference is between the two boxes, in addition to the color, the pre-installed, 140mm-Riing large fan at the front and rear in the Core-X5 Riing housing. The Core X5 has a 120mm fan in the front and back. Further, according to the specification is not possible with the Core X5 Riing edition to install radiators with 420mm and 480mm if the cabinets are stacked. Those radiators fit well in the Core 5X. Also would fit a 540mm radiator in the Core 5X.
In the closet fits up to a graphics card with a length of 480mm and a CPU cooler with a maximum height of 230mm. The PSU can measure up to 220mm in length. If all that is incorporated in the cabinet, there are two 360mm fit-in radiators on the top side of the chassis. The housings may, depending on the configuration, within a maximum of four 3.5 “drives and lost three 2.5” drives. Thermaltake also delivers an optional 3.5 “- and 2.5” -bay along which three additional drives can be used or, as Thermaltake calls it, a “3 + 4 + 3 ‘design.
Both cases have two different ‘rooms’. An upper and lower chamber wherein the upper chamber is designed for improved cooling properties, whilst the lower chamber to supply the PSU and the drive bays is intended. The housings measuring 463x371x540mm in height, width and depth, with an unladen weight of 12kg.
If the cabinets are exactly available, is not known. The price of the Core X5 goes from 170 Euros and the X5 Riing edition from 190 euro, without accessories.
