[Tips and Tricks] Let it snow!

Tips and tricks

Almost half of December is over. Probably most of you already, and tree house is worth, which is quite natural. And the weather outside finally became appropriate winter. All this sets the Christmas mood. And the closer January, the better we mood, even in spite of all the holiday bustle. It remains only to solve the most important question: how to decorate your computer for the New Year?

Decorate the screen of your Mac to the New Year can be very simple, using our favorite “Terminal.” But before you start entering the next instruction immediately after will see a window “Terminal”, press cmd + i – so you will “Inspector.” Open the “Settings” tab and change the background “Terminal” on some of the darker, for example, Pro – the best option.

Now, then you can enter in the “Terminal” with the following command:

ruby -e ‘C=`stty size`.scan(/\d+/)[1].to_i;S=[“2743”.to_i(16)].pack(“U*”);a={};puts “\033[2J”;loop{a[rand(C)]=0;a.each{|x,o|;a[x]+=1;print “\033[#{o};#{x}H \033[#{a[x]};#{x}H#{S} \033[0;0H”};$stdout.flush;sleep 0.1}’

Immediately after entering the command, you will see “Terminal” window will start to fill the falling snowflakes. Right outside the window. If desired, you can press cmd + «plus» – so you increase the size of snowflakes and the window size “Terminal.”

Useless and utterly pointless, but still fun and in the New Year. Thanks for the idea ProstoMAC.
