[Tips and Tricks] solves the problem of dialog in OS X Mavericks

Tips and tricks

Of course, compared with the Windows operating system OS X (in principle, do not even need to specify, on the specific version of OS X in question) almost never freezes. Nevertheless, it happens sometimes, albeit very rarely. Perhaps our readers exactly are those who got into a situation where it would halt dialog box “Open / Save” when you use a particular program. Sometimes everything goes fast for a second or two, and sometimes the waiting process is delayed for about ten seconds, which is too long. Fortunately, there is a way using which you can solve this problem, hopefully, forever.

Of course, to solve this problem we have to use the “Terminal”. But before you begin typing all the commands, with all the good read. All this, to put it mildly, pathetic attempts to fix the global problem. Problem that must be solved in one of Apple’s next update. But if you still really want to do it yourself, then … NEXT!

Open the “Terminal” and enter it in line the following command:

sudo nano /etc/auto_master

After entering the command will likely require you to enter an administrator password. This will open the text editor. It is necessary to find the line where the text is present net. It will look something like this, look for:

/net -hosts -nobrowse,hidefromfinder,nosuid

Once a line is found, set at the beginning of the icon bars, look, if you did everything correctly, it will be as follows:

#/net -hosts -nobrowse,hidefromfinder,nosuid

Now the key combination ctrl + O save your changes and using ctrl + X closes the text editor. You will find yourself face to face with the “Terminal.” It remains only to clear your cache:

sudo automount -vc

Finish. “Terminal” can be safely closed. Now when working with dialog boxes in OS X Mavericks with similar problems, you will no longer encounter. Anyway, should not. But still want to believe that Apple about this issue already knows and repair all alone in the next updates.
