Top processors from AMD – not for “mere mortals”

Many fans of AMD will surely be disappointed to learn that the recently introduced eight-core CPUs FX-9590 and FX-9370 , clocked at 5 GHz and 4.7 GHz, respectively, can not be obtained through normal sales channels. The fact is that the Sunnyvale California company has decided not to sell them through normal retail outlets. AMD is going to sell these crystals exclusively through system integrators, then there are companies that offer ready-made desktop solutions in the assembly.

AMD “considered all possible options” and decided that it would sell these chips as separate parts for the assembly of a handwritten users of high-end gaming computers, or simply upgrade.

One reason for this policy is the “voracity” of the new processors: heat from FX-9590 / FX-9370, we recall, is 220 watts. These processors require a very high quality, and perhaps even liquid cooling. And the problem just lies in the fact that the people who own computers collect myself, do not often buy liquid cooling. In turn, the company – professional PC builders – are in this business more experience.

Recall that the base frequency of the processor FX-9590 at 4.7 GHz, and the automatic overclocking is raised to 5 GHz. In turn, the model FX-9370 has a base clock of 4.4 GHz overclocked to 4.7 GHz in the automatic mode.

The cost of the new AMD has not yet been announced.
