The ransomware Torrent Locker has the criminals behind it so far yielded a quarter of a million. The Dutch security firm Fox-IT quantified. The malware spreads via e-mails including track and trace codes.

Torrent Locker provides the criminals money, because victims must make a payment in bitcoins to decrypt files that the malware hostage.
