Find a Question:
Toyota gives free patents describe technology for hydrogen cars
Toyota has announced that a total of 5680 patents related release goes on fuel cells for hydrogen cars. The Japanese carmaker thinks as to boost the development of such cars.
The patents describe include the fuel cell developed by Toyota; the carmaker has released about 290 patents. 1970 patents also describe fuel cell stacks , stacked and series-connected cells. Furthermore, Toyota passes freely 3350 patents which relate to the software in order to control this process, as well as 70 patents that describe the production and distribution of hydrogen.
Toyota says that the patents related to fuel cells to 2020 are freely available for, among other car manufacturers who also want to build hydrogen cars and for power companies. The patents in the field of production and distribution of hydrogen can also be used after 2020 by other parties. Toyota asks others to also share patents in the field of hydrogen technology with others, but not obliged to use as others patents.
With it, partly temporary, releasing its patents Toyota hopes to encourage the development of hydrogen cars. The Japanese car company is already working with BMW to the required hydrogen technology.
The release of patents by Toyota follows a similar decision by Tesla. The US company said in the last summer some of its patents available to third parties. Unlike Toyota puts Tesla however full on electric cars.Viewing:-222
