TP-Link announces AV1200 gigabit powerline adapter

TP-Link at CES a new powerline adapter shown that can achieve speeds of gross 1,2Gbit / s. The TL-PA8030 makes use of the relatively new HomePlug AV2 standard which must provide sufficient speed for data-intensive network applications.

The powerline adapter uses three wires of the electricity cabling – phase, neutral and earth – in order to make multiple connections. Along with MIMO technology from the HomePlug AV2 protocol would speeds up 1,2Gbit / s can be achieved.

According to TP-Link TL-PA803 configures the adapter automatically the network on the grid. There were up to 300 meters can be bridged while data using 128bit AES encryption is encrypted.

The adapter includes three Gigabit Ethernet connections. Furthermore, TP-Link lets remember that the powerline adapter provides a power saving mode, allowing the adapter to 85 percent less power and that the TL-PA803 is also compatible with older HomePlug protocols. The adapter must be in stores in the third quarter for an undisclosed price.
