Transcend unveiled new M.2 SSD Enclosure Kit, the latest addition to the company’s M.2 SSD product line.
The new portfolio provides a solution for converting the M.2 SATA SSD into a USB flash drive with a first-generation USB 3.1 port, the company said.
The MTS Series M.2 SSD series is the “best choice for modern high-performance computers with small dimensions, especially since these disks have small dimensions and are based on the SATA 6 Gbps connector,” said Transcend.
The Transcend TM CM42 and CM80 are of different dimensions to fit the M.2 SATA SSD from Transcend in particular. This portfolio comes with all the necessary accessories and a step-by-step user guide, allowing any user, regardless of their experience, to convert the M.2 SATA SSD to a portable external storage drive with a first-generation USB port 3.1, making maximum use of the used flash drive.
Transcend said the new portfolios have a light aluminum-based design, making them easier to carry and more durable during mobile use, and with a LED light indicating the status of the disc.
The company offers two different sizes of new portfolios for all M.2 SATA SSDs. The CM42 is designed to work with the 2242 disks, while the CM80 is designed to work with the 2242, 2260 and 2280 disks.
To ensure that the new portfolios achieve the highest compatibility with the ports used, the company said it was designed to support working with a Type-A and Type-C USB port. Transcend provides a transfer cable from the Type-C port to Type-A, Allowing the use of the clipboard with different work platforms.
The new portfolio is based on the first generation of the USB 3.1 port, as noted, and UASP technology makes data transfer faster, provided that the computer on which the clip is connected is supported.
