TransIP storage service Stack receives support

for two-stage authentication
The Dutch web storage service Stack has received support for two-stage authentication. Stack supports logging in via authentication apps for smartphones, such as Google Authenticator or Authy.

Stack does not allow customers to log in via the SMS that is considered to be less safe, as shown on the explanation page . The storage service announced Thursday that it will support the safer way of logging in. That was not the case so far.

The TransIP storage service also gives users ten recovery tokens if the authentication app does not work. The app is set up as usual via a qr code on the screen. Users can set the safer way of logging in via the web interface when they are logged in.

Stack is the storage service of TransIP, where users could get 1TB of storage for free for a number of years. Meanwhile, new users can no longer get that . The paid options are available for new customers.
