Turkey threatens again with blockade Twitter
The Turkish authorities have required a court order that Twitter unwelcome content of a Turkish newspaper gets offline. Although there are reports censored, Twitter refuses to delete the associated account. Turkey is likely therefore to re-block the site.
Twitter That reports The New York Times. The Turkish authorities are angry at Twitter because the site did not comply with a request to block an account. That account belongs to a Turkish newspaper and had, moreover, like other Turkish media, documents published about an alleged arms shipments from Turkey to Syria. However, the authorities claim that it was humanitarian aid and demanded from the judge that the Twitter messages on this matter were taken offline. Nor should there be any messages appear on other social networking sites.
Meanwhile, most messages were deleted on the case or no longer accessible in Turkey but the newspaper Birgun refuses according to the Turkish authorities to respond to the demand to stop messages about the case. Twitter so then refused to respond to the request to block the account of the newspaper, which has led to anger at Turkey. The authorities are now threatening to again block access to social networking site in Turkey, according to The New York Times.
