Tweakers resumes power testing

Thanks to a test equipment manufacturer that makes available Tweakers has the ability to test extensively. Supplies for PCs again We are working on the protocol for psu’s and will publish periodic round-ups.

It’s been years since Tweakers sporadic power supplies tested. The latest round-up was published in 2009, in which we could make the test lab supply from Cooler Master. Use The supply from Cooler Master to make use of its facilities has been repeated by several other manufacturers over the years. For practical reasons and to ensure our independence, we have not made use of it.

Because power testing with us and you as a visitor remains desirable, however, we continued to look for opportunities in a meaningful way, with its own test equipment to do that. However, the high price of professional testing equipment proved to be a recurring stumbling block.

We were therefore delighted when Corsair offered a tester for power supplies, a SunMoon SM 5500ATE , to make available. Unlike previous proposals from other parties such electronic load for power supplies in our test lab would face. What we then do with it, our completely free, so is the deal. We do not just use it to test, Corsair power supplies one needs to see our results and no one can influence something.

However, Jonny Gerow, better known as Jonny Guru of the same site, along been extensive training. Jonny has been working for Corsair has acquired fame through the complete decomposition of power on his website.

Obviously we are therefore particularly welcome this opportunity to test after five years. Finally independent power supplies That means we have to prepare we should certainly adjust. After the first publication of a power-round-up protocol The test equipment in-house, we can however freely our own thing and we can use the input from the community to work on meaningful reviews of feeds.
