Twitch brings video-on-demand to mobile apps




Twitch has announced that through its mobile apps now on video-on-demand content can be obtained. However archived video files are not stored indefinitely and the old Android app Twitch must first be uninstalled.

On his weblog Twitch let know that users of content partners from the business and regular users of the game streaming service can look back previously recorded images through the Android and iOS apps. These images can be found in the so-called Activity Feed of the respective app.

There are some limits on the time that can store Twitch users video. Users without a paid account can store videos two weeks, while players with a Turbo or Partner Account videos sixty days can rest on the servers of Twitch.

The Android app users need to use the rag-function delete the old app, and then to install the new version from Google Play. This is according to Twitch necessary to avoid a potential safety problem. In addition, at least Android 4.1 is required for the new app.
