Twitter is experimenting with “XXX persons have seen the tweet” indicator

How many people actually see a tweet that you send to the network? A question you can not answer so easily. Whether you now have 5 or 5,000 followers, which guarantee that every follower reads the tweet is not given. Twitter just experimented with exactly this problem, and show how many people have seen a tweet. You might know of Facebook pages or groups, where there is a similar display.

Twitter_Count

It is unclear how Twitter would like to count accurately if a tweet was read or not. You scroll through his timeline, tweets are displayed, but also whether they were actually seen, may be doubted. For advertisers there is such a range measurement already, for home users yet.

Also, the question of whether this is actually of interest to the user. I do not know how you use Twitter, but I can not imagine that it is important to look for the user how many times a tweet was seen of me. And for people that something is important, this can backfire if the numbers are much lower than expected.

Would such a display for you valuable or interesting?
