Twitter: measures against trolls help to improve the atmosphere

Twitter says that the influence of trolls and other nasty people has been restricted in recent times, making the atmosphere has improved the social network. That is partly due to faster block annoying accounts or to request identification.

Twitter That says Bruce Daisley, at which Twitter is the boss of the European branch of the social network, in an interview with The Independent. His company has taken several steps in recent times to trolls and others who deal with cause annoying messages, and these have borne fruit as Daisley. “The measures we have taken directly correlate with a decrease in bad behavior,” says Daisley.

One of the ways to address annoying to persons is faster ask for identification by linking a telephone number to the account. That should prevent existing users can still create a new account to remain, below the radar. Also troll accounts blocked faster than before. Further encourages Twitter users to share their lists of blocked so annoying posters are noticed faster and wider.

Many users have complained in recent years about the often anonymous people who placed unwanted, unpleasant or hateful messages on the website. Twitter responded by stating that it was indeed a “troll problem” and promised to deal with these people. Several measures, such as phone verification and mitigate unwanted messages, had already been announced.
