Find a Question:
Twitter replaces favorite feature by like-button
Twitter has the asterisk tweets that could be labeled a favorite, replaced by a heart. Not only is the symbol has changed, also the function is called now like instead of favorite. The change is also reflected on Vine.
The social network says the change run to make using Twitter easier. The asterisk would sometimes be confusing, especially for newcomers. “You’ll find plenty of nice things, but not everything can be your favorite,” the explanation. Twitter opts for a center because this is a universal symbol in all the different languages and cultures.
The change is immediately reflected in the web version of Twitter, the Twitter apps for iOS, Android and Windows 10 and TweetDeck. No longer is it possible to distribute favorites. Instead of yellow stars, find Twitter users now a red heart in that place. Soon the like-hearts also come to the Vine app for iOS and Twitter for Mac. The center has already been used in Periscope, the service of Twitter that allows users to stream live video.Viewing:-100
