Twitter update for iOS and Android brings 2-factor auth via app
Twitter launched in May with the 2-factor implments via SMS code . However, this was not widely available. With the latest app update for Android and iOS now you should at any time be able to login via the app. Codes exist only as a backup, you have to confirm the login query only in the app. If it works then.
I have already tried the thing last night. Alleseasy in the app settings allows the confirmation of the point Enable Security. At the same time you get a backup code if you have no reception or even the smartphone is lost. My Twitter apps on the iPhone were logged, here I had to change anything.
In the browser, however, I had to log in again. Username and password is entered and the page already told me that I needed to confirm this in the app. The push notification came about also. When opening this not the login request, however, was shown to me, but I was staring at an empty field. No way of confirmation. Can happen, new service, maybe not quite widely available. Thanks emergency code then I was able to login.
I put the blame for the non-functioning of the login method just once on the iOS Beta 7, I do not believe, in fact, that there Twitter as a big blunder allowed. The feature should be activated in any case, it is more convenient than an additional numerical code and safer than a normal login.
Other new features of the app update are improved photo gallery in Search and Contextual suggestions, if you use the search. The update as there is always automatically have the appropriate stores, if you have already installed the apps.
