Two hundred Ziggo customers need to change username
As a result of merging the databases of Ziggo and UPC have two hundred thousand Ziggo customers change their username. Their user names are able to model those of UPC-users.
That doublings were expected in the user names, it was clear, but so far kept Ziggo insists it to a small group of customers “would go. Polling shows, however, that it is a whopping 200,000 Ziggo customers who need to change their username. Their user names were listed in the database of UPC. Customer bases Ziggo and UPC are tied together by the merger of the two cable companies to Ziggo.
Ziggo has thereby chosen to change their username allow customers from the old Ziggo area with double username; UPC customers that do not. Why the cable company that has chosen exactly, is not clear. Ziggo customers whose user name also appeared in the UPC database, get a warning when they try to log in.
The user is required to log into My Ziggo, for example, where customers can view their bills. Also Ziggo customers use their username to log into apps like Horizon Go, HBO and Movie1. The user is not used externally if known; the email addresses of users, nothing changes. Ziggo, UPC along with 4.4 million customers.
