UBS: Apple sold in the December quarter of 69 million iPhone




Due to the high demand for next-generation iPhone, Apple set a record for iPhone sales in the fourth quarter of this year. According to the report leading analyst of UBS Evidence Lab Stephen Milunović, the implementation of Apple’s smartphone in the fourth quarter could reach 69 million units, after which comes a decline in sales. And in the first quarter of 2015 the implementation of the iPhone will be less than 55 million units.


Analysts believe that Apple has set the record for iPhone sales in the final quarter of 2014. In 2013, sales of smartphones in the period amounted to 51 million devices. According to analyst reports, release of the iPhone and the iPhone 6 6 Plus will allow Apple to sell 18.3 million phones more (up 36%). Analysts also expect an increase in demand for older models of smartphones Apple, as they were offered in the festive period discounts.

At UBS Evidence Lab believe that in the fourth quarter of the most popular smartphone Apple became 4.7-inch iPhone 6, which sold around the world sold 41 million copies, while the share of 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus had 16.1 million sales.

According to experts, the fall of 2015 Apple will introduce iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, making less current models.
