Ubuntu 14.04.1




The first update of 14:04 version of Ubuntu Linux has come true. Twice a year there is a new version comes out, and as with the Catalyst drivers from AMD are the year and month of issue the version number. Canonical provides support for each version and a half years in the form of patches and updates. Once every two years, however, a LTS edition, especially for business. LTS stands for Long Term Support, meaning that five years is supported.

14:04 version runs on Linux Kernel 3.13 and includes several improvements to the Ubuntu Unity diagnostic interface. Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS released

The Ubuntu team is pleased to announce the release of Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS (Long Term Support) for its Desktop, Server, Cloud, and Core products, as well as other flavors of Ubuntu with long-term support.

As usual, this point release includes many updates, and updated installation media has provided bone So THAT Fewer updates will need to be downloaded after installation. These include security updates and Corrections for other high-impact bugs, with a focus on Maintaining stability and compatibility with Ubuntu LTS 14:04.

Maintenance updates will be provided for 5 years for Ubuntu Desktop, Ubuntu Server, Ubuntu Cloud, Ubuntu Core, Ubuntu Kylin, Edubuntu, and Kubuntu. All the remaining flavors will be supported for 3 years.
