After two years, it is time for a new LTS release of Ubuntu has come again. LTS versions enjoy long term support, either long-term support from Canonical. For both desktop and server versions editions the software uses a five-year period, which almost to 2020 updates for the operating system are released. LTS releases are traditionally the least innovative in the Ubuntu release schedule. The main reason is that the choice is made stable and tested versions of software, so the operating system is just interesting for business.

Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, which codenamed Trusty Tahr received, must be after Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Unity desktop spend a few steps further, though Canonical mainly focuses on the mobile market.
