Ubuntu 15.04 Vivid Vervet Review – Hollen and stop
Ubuntu has been for some years one of the most popular Linux distributions. “Parent Company” Canonical is claiming now that there are more than 25 million users of Ubuntu and that the demand for the open source operating system is growing among consumers as well as governments and businesses. However, the software does not let go of how it arrived exactly on this user numbers.
April, like October, the month in which we can look forward to a new Ubuntu release. We arrived at Vivid Vervet or Ubuntu 15:04. As in the previous release, Canonical has given little attention to the Unity interface, especially since developers to focus on the mobile version of Ubuntu and projects such as the Mir display server. Yet we see a significant change under the hood: systemd is Canonical’s own init daemon upstart replaced.
Two official Ubuntu flavors stand out in this release cycle. Kubuntu introduces modern KDE Plasma 5.2 interface and in Xubuntu 15:04 we see a graphical Xfce interface, where it’s necessary to have changed. Obviously we have a look at this Ubuntu variants, as well as some other “flavors”.Viewing:-207
