UPC starts selling mobile subscriptions




UPC has started selling mobile subscriptions in all of its own customers. Until now, only a group of testers a mobile subscription from the cable company. UPC would have made a “family plan” offering which multiple clients can simultaneously use.

The cable company held since October, a test under own customers and now has sales of subscriptions open to all customers. Customers of other cable operators or ISPs can not close the subscription: a subscription at UPC is required to exit the mobile subscription.

With a family plan, users pay at UPC Mobile a tenner a month extra for each additional SIM card for a new user. The family has its own number and affiliation, but share the voice minutes, text messages and data. Such a structure has been known for years in other countries and providers in the Netherlands already speak more openly about the possibility of family plans. Customers UPC Mobile gain access to 4g. UPC Mobile uses the Vodafone network, confirms the opposite Tweakers provider.
