Users Nexus smartphones have problems with Gmail notifications
Several users of Nexus smartphones seem to have problems receiving notifications on their devices. The problems mainly occur with Gmail on the Nexus 6P. May have to do something about the problems the Marshmallow update.
On the support forums of Google runs for some time a topic where users report problems with getting notifications when new e-mails in the Gmail app. In other fora, including at GoT is, mention made of missing notifications. Users must first open the Gmail app and refresh before the notifications arrive. Google employees have responded, making the flaw is so well-known within the company. It is still unclear if and when a solution is to be found.
Mainly owners of the Nexus 6P report missing e-mail notifications. Also appear to be a number of users of the Nexus 5X and some other smart phones have been taken, although it is not clear how widespread the problems are there. Some other apps suffer from not coming notifications, including Google’s alternative email application Inbox.
Some Nexus 6P-users suggests that problems have occurred after they have installed the update to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. It is not yet entirely clear whether there is a causal relationship with notification problems. Indeed, there are also Android users who already before the Marshmallow update suffered from missing notifications.
