VAIO laptop and announced a flagship 12-inch tablet with a stylus




Japanese manufacturer of notebook VAIO Corporation, who last summer became an independent company, introduced its first flagship device VAIO Z and VAIO Z Canvas. The first of these is already available for pre-order.


VAIO Z is a laptop with a touch screen and a body made of carbon and aluminum thickness of 16.8 mm (weight of the notebook – 1.34 kg). “On board” laptop computer are a processor Intel Core i7-5557U with a maximum clock frequency of 3.4 GHz and graphics Intel Iris 6100, up to 16 GB of RAM and SSD-drive capacity of up to 512GB.


The resolution of a 13.3-inch touchscreen display VAIO Z is 2560 × 1440 pixels. The screen has a special rotating structure, through which the laptop can be transformed into a tablet.


The model will be available in two colors (dark and silver). The company notes that laptop keyboard emits less noise than any regular laptop keyboard. Cost VAIO Z starts with $ 1,600.

VAIO Z Canvas, in turn, is a tablet with a keyboard crotch, which can be controlled using a stylus. It has a 12.3-inch display with a resolution of 2560 × 1704 pixels, the processor Intel Core i7, graphics accelerator Intel Iris Pro, 256 GB SSD and up to 16 GB of RAM. Make notes that will be able to release a model with built-in memory of up to 1 TB.
