Vaio makes midrange Windows 10 smartphone with Continuum




The Japanese hardware maker Vaio presented its first smartphone with Windows 10. It is a mid-range model with 5.5 “screen, metal housing and support for Continuum. Probably not the device comes out in Europe.

The Vaio Biz Phone runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617, with eight Cortex-A53 cores at 1.5GHz and an Adreno 405 GPU. The Biz Phone, which as the name suggests is aimed at business users, 3GB has to LPDDR3 memory and 16GB of storage.

The screen is a 5.5 “LCD with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. Vaio has a design with an aluminum back. It measures approximately 15,6×7,7cm. Microsoft made ​​recently Continuum suitable for use with Snapdragon 617-socs, where the function to use the smartphone as a desktop was previously only possible with a high-end Snapdragon 808 and 810.
