Valve rolls major update for Big Picture Mode in Steam beta client




Valve has implemented several major changes and additions to Big Picture Mode in the latest Steam client beta. Thus, there is now the ability to search mode in which in the library, and in the Steam Store, and is the view of several components of the client adapted.

Valve has in the update improved the display of the library, among other things, store, market and community profile pages. And now with the ability to search the store and library, and the Steam music player now supports FLAC, Ogg Vorbis and m4a. Also, users can now rewind to a specific point in a song.

Previously, achievements, leaderboards, screenshots, artwork, videos, and workshop items displayed in the browser of Big Picture Mode, but there now is therefore a native implementation has taken its place. When the new features coming to the regular Steam client is not known, but every Steam user can participate in the beta client. Valve ensures such updates to the Steam Machines, which open in November, will soon have a fully developed interface.
