Valve will present Steam Controller in March during GDC officially’




Valve will be at the Game Developers Conference, held in San Francisco in March, the Steam Controller officially unveil do, says the director of Origin PC. The design of the controller is working by Valve since 2013.

Opposite GameSpot let Kevin Wasielewski, CEO at Origin PC release that the design has been completed and that the final draft of the Valve Steam Controller in March will be revealed at the GDC. The conference will be held between 2 and 6 March. According Wasielewski would now also have begun production of the game controller.

Valve presented in September 2013 a first draft of the Steam Controller. The controller had a striking design. So the design had two trackpads in places where normally sit thumbsticks. Also a touchscreen was integrated and the Steam Controller had no d-pad. In the last 1.5 years Valve has quite planed to the design. For example, the touch screen has been replaced by traditional keys. Also popped an image on which the controller got an analog stick. What changes more Valve has implemented in the final design is not yet clear.

Wasielewski showed during his interview with Gamespot too loose that in his view the term “Steam Machine” will perish. According to the CEO must speak about ‘living room PCs. He expects a high demand for such systems.
