Video shows functioning voice assistant Cortana on Windows 10




There are details surfaced of Cortana, Microsoft’s voice service, for Windows 10. In a video demonstrates how the service in the new Windows version will function, though Microsoft is still working on its development.

In a video by WinBeta online posted shows how Microsoft’s voice assistant functions. There is a search button to the right of the taskbar that Cortana can be started. The service then listening to speech input, similar to how this works on Windows Phone. Incidentally, it is not clear how the site has gained access to the build with Cortana.

WinBeta shows how using speech input the agenda can be opened and appointments can be added. In addition, the site shows how reminders and alarms can be configured and how notes are made. It is also possible to ask Cortana to playback music, and to provide navigation information.

According WinBeta is still a test build, and several features not do it well. The interface is still not completely finished and it is not yet known whether Cortana is actually placed next to the start button. The site states that the current build is built primarily for developers and that there will be still relevant adjustments before the service is fit for consumers.

Microsoft itself is expected early next year, a number of features of Windows 10 do revealed. These so-called Consumer Preview should end January appear , but Microsoft itself has not yet confirmed this
