Virtual Reality television Halcyon comes out September 22 – Update

Halcyon, the television which is to look for a virtual reality in part, comes out on 22 September. The series is made for the American television channel Syfy, which is also just received in the Netherlands with the right package of channels.

NBCUniversal International Networks announced the release date of the series known by Multichannel News. Halcyon will show on the television, online and in virtual reality using the Oculus Rift and the Samsung Gear VR. Of the 15 episodes in season five are designed for virtual reality. For those who follow the series but no Gear VR or Rift makes Syfy summaries ‘Tradional’ format available. The fact that the VR episodes are also available without the necessary equipment, suggests that they are not treated as an afterthought.

Halcyon is set in 2058, a future where virtual reality is so common as the smartphone now. Syfy labels the series as a crime drama. Julie Dover protagonist is a detective who gets given the task to investigate the murder first true virtual reality; one person died in Fri, was in reality also found dead. The production is in the hands of Secret Location Studios, a Canadian company that specializes in private to “combining the latest technology with traditional forms of telling stories.”

Despite Syfy simply be received in the Netherlands, Multichannel News makes no details on international availability of the series, which it is currently not with certainty determine whether the public in the UK said later can also watch the series.
Update, 21:36: User PRONIX alerts Tweakers that Syfy from 1 July not to receive in the Netherlands and Belgium. Tweakers contacted NBCUniversal International Networks to whether this means that the consumer is left out in the Benelux.
