VLC app again put in App Store




The team behind the VLC media player is the iOS version of the app again placed in the App Store. Twice before the application was removed from the App Store. Currently, the app is still only be downloaded by users who have downloaded it previously agreed.

Probably can ‘new’ users the app soon, but when is not yet known. VLC has indicated to TechCrunch that the current release, for users who have already downloaded the app is designed to let them test if everything works. Perhaps the media player will appear next week for everyone in the App Store; VLC hint that there news include iOS comes out.

VLC for iOS app was removed twice from the App Store. The first time VLC removed by an external developer-made iOS port of the media player, because placement of the app in Apple’s application store would conflict with the GPL license of the VLC media player. In 2013 VLC brought himself an iOS version, which was provided with a different license. However, a year later it disappeared for unknown reasons version from the App Store. VLC only indicated that “Apple was working on a solution.”
