Vodafone: half new subscribers opt for RED




The introduction of Vodafone RED in the Netherlands seems to get the good company: According to Vodafone selects 55 percent of new subscribers for a RED subscription. Nevertheless, the introduction of RED can not prevent. Falling sales

Vodafone-logo The 55 percent who chooses RED, are subscribers of Vodafone subsidiary Sizz and sim-only subscription Sharp otherwise excluded. In RED users in most cases unlimited calling and texting and they get a data bundle of 2GB.

That such a large group of customers opt for subscription, is striking: the subscriptions are relatively expensive. In combination with a recent phone is a monthly bill of sixty euros for a RED-subscription is not exceptional. The subscription was introduced in February.

The number of customers for the Dutch branch of Vodafone rose, according to the quarterly figures of the British parent company has released. The number of subscribers increased by 24,000 to about 5.3 million, of which 31.6 percent prepaid subscribers. This increase, however, do not prevent the sales of Vodafone drops again. Sales fell by 3.7 percent from a year earlier to 448.7 million euros. According to Vodafone, because of the economic conditions, fierce competition and lower outer beam use, a statement that the company in previous quarters even gave for declining sales.
