Vodafone has stopped in the Netherlands with the support of its signal amplifier SignaalPlus. The sale of the devices stopped almost three years ago and now the device also no longer works on the Vodafone network.

Vodafone Signal Plus Plug & Play Customers with poor coverage can switch to calling via Wi-Fi, the provider reports on their own forum . This means that customers can be reached because the network continues the call via an available Wi-Fi connection on the telephone. This means that users can be reached at locations where they have either WiFi or 4G, the provider says.

Vodafone has sold the private tower SignaalPlus since 2012, but stopped in early 2016. SignaalPlus only works on 3g. The provider has never sold a ‘femtocel’ with 4g, because it said that thanks to the lower frequency indoors, the 4g network would offer better coverage than 3g. The provider does not say how many SignaalPlus copies are still in use.
