Voyager 1 has left the solar system

Launched 35 years ago, in the space probe Voyager 1, which has recently found a puzzle on edge of the solar system , came out of it. Currently, scientists have reported that Voyager 1 recorded a strong change in the levels of radiation – it is direct evidence of native walls leaving our solar system.

Back in December, scientists announced the release of the probe on the “magnetic Highway” (the area on the edge of the solar system). That’s when NASA scientists have predicted that the completion of the last stage of the journey into space will go from a few months to several years.

Probes Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 were launched back in 1977. The main objectives of the probe Voyager 1 began to Jupiter and Saturn. His brother, Voyager 2 reached Neptune in 1989, and Voyager 1 under the influence of Saturn’s gravity was launched into space. Aboard two vehicles mounted gold plate on which to specify the location of extraterrestrial Earth, and recorded a series of images and sounds.

It should be noted that the Voyager 1 moves along a hyperbolic trajectory, that is, he will not return to the solar system by the gravitational pull of the Sun. Scientists are still debating about the achievement of the probe Voyager 1 interstellar space. One thing is for certain – he went into the unknown space.

“It is beyond the heliosphere,” – said William R. Webber of the University of New Mexico. – “This is a new area. The first measurements of intrigue and baffled, but it is very interesting. ”

What awaits the Voyager 1 in uncharted space ?
