Vulnerability in segments of communication threatening 750 million worldwide
The security researcher revealed a gap in the way the old encryption of communications slide SIM allow hackers to control mobile phones users and do some operations instead.

German security researcher said “Carsten loom” the gap existing slides that use data encryption standard DES, the standard that was used to encrypt the connection to slice nearly three billion around the world.

“NOL” in his remarks highlighted by the New York Times that the loophole will allow hackers to know security key for encrypted communication with standard DES via sending messages create false, those slides automatically reply to a message with a security key to slide to the source of the e-mails.

Hackers can use the security key to slide in order to send a message containing malicious software to control the phone and can intercept messages that slide receives and processes of financial balance of the user’s contacts.

The German security researcher with experience that gap nearly 1,000 slide connections in America and Europe and managed to control them, so that the control that you need not only for computer plain and in just two minutes.

“NOL” estimated number of segments that can be targeted via that vulnerability is currently about 750 million slide contacts around the world, so he alerted Union mobile operators (GSMA) that vulnerability.

He promised Union operators of mobile phones, according to the New York Times, connecting with telecommunications companies to find a way to bridge that gap before widely exploited by hackers.

The communications chip makers began to rely on developer AES encryption standard, which has more advanced security properties than standard DES, AES standard was adopted officially in 2001 after being named in October 2000 as an alternative to the data encryption standard.
