Wacom presents Smart Bamboo Stylus for Windows hybrids
Wacom introduces Bamboo smart stylus that works Windows-2-in-1 in combination with a select group. Bamboo Smart for Windows comes in February for forty dollars. Last year brought a similar Wacom stylus for Samsung devices.
The Bamboo Smart for Windows works with Windows devices have a Wacom active electro-static touch screen and has two programmable buttons. Currently, a small group systems using the touchscreen, including the Dell Venue 10 5000 series, the Dell Venue Pro 10 5000 Series, the HP Elite X2, Lenovo Thinkpad P40 Yoga and Toshiba DynaPad N72. It works directly with these devices and can operate for a year on a single AAAA battery in three hours of use per day. Wacom introduced in September all the Bamboo Stylus for Samsung Smart devices with electro-magnetic resonance such as the Galaxy Note and the Edge Tab 8.0. This variant does not require a battery.

Wacom further announced that the Spark now offers handwriting recognition. The Spark is a combination of a folder and a pen, which makes it possible to make annotations on paper, and there to make a direct digital version of it. The Spark was announced last September, but supported when no handwriting-to-text conversion. This option is free to existing users and supports thirteen languages including Dutch.
